GETTING THERE Abaco is located approximately 170 miles east of West Palm Beach, Florida. Marsh Harbour is situated on Great Abaco, it is the third largest town in the Bahamas, the industrial center of Abaco and hosts the main airport – a second airport is located at Treasure Cay. Fly into Marsh Harbour, Great Abaco, there are ferries leaving daily to Great Guana Cay. The three gateways to Marsh Harbour are the airports in West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Miami. There are also limited flights from Daytona and Melbourne. From Marsh Harbour airport, tell your taxi driver you are
going to Guana Cay and they will take you to the ferry docks. Ferries leave for Guana Cay from the Conch Inn at 10:15 am, 1:15 pm, 3:30 pm, and 5:30
pm. The cost for the ferry is $16 one way, $24 round trip, reservations are not
required. It is about a
30-minute ferry ride from Marsh Harbour to Guana Cay. Upon your arrival at Guana Cay, you will be met by our caretaker, Frances Sands, who will help you with your luggage, escort you to the cottage, and help you get settled in. The caretaker will acquaint you with the cottage and the island; and should you have any problems you will be able to ask her for assistance.
